The event is a fundraiser in aid of The Birches Alzheimer Day Centre, Dundalk, a charity that has been supported for many years by Dundalk BC because of the great work it does in the area. The Birches is only partially funded by the Department of Health, and fundraising therefore represents a vital source of income, which has been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. So participants will provide much-needed revenue for a very good cause; BBO is waiving its usual charges, so all funds raised will go directly to The Birches. All support will be greatly appreciated.
