A reminder that the weekend ahead sees two bridge events in different areas of the country, Greystones Open Week in the Greystones Bridge Centre from Thursday to Sunday, and Tralee Bridge Congress in the Rose Hotel, Tralee, from Friday to Sunday, with all welcome. Entries for Greystones are open on our website; for Tralee please use this form.
And CBAI member Declan Doyle has come up with a novel bridge travel concept, that of the “Bridge Train“. The idea is that groups of bridge players travel by train (using their free travel where applicable) to towns cities around Ireland, play friendly bridge on the train on the journey, have lunch in a nice hotel within walking distance of the train station, have a formal, scored, game of bridge in the hotel after lunch, and then return to Dublin on the train. A fun day out, and all in a very cause, the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
The first outing will be on Tuesday 8 April, to Galway, leaving Heuston Station at 09:25, arriving in Galway at 11:50, and returning to Dublin on the 17:20 train. Anyone interested should contact Declan Doyle on 085- 1228417 for more information. You do not need to attend with a partner.
