Well done to the “prizewinners” in the virtual Moylan Cup, held online on 10-11 April. The father-son partnership of Donal Garvey & Tommy Garvey emerged victorious, after three extremely consistent sessions (no lower than fourth in any session). Second place went to John Carroll & Mark Moran, with Ciaran Coyne & David Walsh third, Nan Murtagh & Mary Shannon fourth, and Peter Goodman & Terry Walsh fifth. Our thanks to Tournament Director Fearghal O’Boyle for delivering the usual excellent experience for the participants. Full results here.

The second Bridge International Championship (BIC) was held on the BBO and Funbridge platforms, in partnership with the World Bridge Federation, over the period 27 March to 4 April.

No one was able to  match Kelan O’Connor’s 43rd place in the first outing of this event last October, with the best of the Irish challengers this time finishing just outside the top hundred. Irish pride of place goes to Russell Down, with a score of 54.74% in the finals phase, just ahead of Ciaran Coyne, with Kelan O’Connor, Jeannie Fitzgerald, and Colm O’Driscoll rounding out the Irish top five. Well done to all.
