Here’s your chance to represent the British & Irish Lions … at bridge!
RealBridge has organised two special challenge matches between Ireland & the UK (“Up Over”) and Australia & New Zealand (“Down Under”) on Monday 5 December at 8 p.m. Irish time and Tuesday 6 December at 8 a.m. Irish time, and all are welcome to play. There will be three separate sections – Flight A for Experts (Regional Masters and higher); Flight B for Club Players (Intermediate As and Area Masters); and Flight C for Newer Players (Intermediate Bs and Novices).
You can sign up via the CBAI online entry system – just look for the RealBridge Up Over v Down Under Challenge. There is no charge to play via the CBAI. Members of an Irish club that uses RealBridge may also be able to sign up via their club. There will be no prizes, and no masterpoints, for this event … just bragging rights and hopefully a fun evening and/or morning; you can play in both competitions if you wish. The format is matchpointed pairs for both events. Both you and your partner will need to be current members of the CBAI, and you’ll need to make sure we have an email address for both of you so that you can get the playing link from RealBridge before the game. We are hoping for a good turnout from Ireland, and perhaps an Irish winner or two.
