Team Moran (the Irish Open Team for Madeira, Mark Moran, John Carroll, Tom Hanlon, Hugh McGann, Adam Mesbur, Nick FitzGibbon, and NPC Grainne Barton) is continuing to tune up nicely for the upcoming European Championships, winning the round-robin qualifying round of the World Bridge Tour Masters event in Lillehammer, in a very strong field.
The semi-finals and final are today (Friday), so best of luck to the team for the playoffs. They start with a tough semi-final against a mainly Norwegian team containing Boye Brogeland, which was seeded ahead of the Irish team initially. Full details here.
