We have been approached by researchers at the UCD School of Medicine, who are working with the Irish Prostate Cancer Outcomes Research (IPCOR) programme. The programme is currently recruiting current and former partners of people diagnosed with prostate cancer in Ireland or Northern Ireland for an anonymous research survey exploring partners’ experiences, intimacy, communication, information and support needs.
They have asked us to promote the survey to members, to assist them in reaching potential candidates beyond cancer-specific organisations, particularly adults in older age groups who may not otherwise see the study invitation.
This approved leaflet summarises the project and its objectives, and the link for the survey is: https://eu.surveymonkey.com/r/leaflet
Eligibility:
• aged 18 or over;
• a current or former partner of someone diagnosed with prostate cancer in Ireland or Northern Ireland;
• includes active surveillance/watchful waiting as well as treatment.
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Recruitment is open until 31 October 2026.
The project has been approved by the UCD Human Research Ethics Committee Ref: 168-LS-26-C-Kearns-Watson.
