It was another busy weekend for bridge, with both CBAI’s Novice & Intermediate Congress and the IBU’s Moylan Cup taking place – the former in the Tower Hotel, Waterford, and the latter in the Malahide Regional Bridge Centre. Our thanks to all who turned out to play, especially in light of the fact that the road blockades meant an uncertain journey for anyone travelling to either event.
The Novice and Intermediate Congress was directed by Huey Daly and host and CBAI President John Phelan, and the prizewinners were:

The Moylan Cup, with Eamon Galligan directing, was won in grand style by Peter Goodman & Terry Walsh who were a model of consistency, finishing second, first, and second respectively in the three sessions, to win by the impressive margin of almost 5% over their closest challengers in a quality field. This was a fourth Moylan victory for Terry, and a first for Peter. The prizewinners were:
