Congratulations to all the prizewinners, particularly to Joan and Jeannie for doing the double in the women’s events. Their team also won the McMenamin Bowl for the third time in four years. Thanks very much to our directing crew of Fearghal O’Boyle, Alan Hill, Huey Daly, Eamon Galligan, and Bernard Higgins for ensuring that all the competitions went off smoothly. Next up on the national calendar are the new Regional Masters Pairs & Teams (also open to Area Masters) in Templeogue on 31 Jan/1 Feb, and the Holmes Wilson Trophy (National Teams Championships) in the Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, on 14/15 Feb, with entries for all these competitions open here. We also have congresses upcoming in Cork (23/25 Jan), Ennis (6/8 Feb), Galway (22/25 Feb), Malahide (27 Feb/1 Mar), and Clonmel (27/29 Mar).
