The Tralee International Bridge Congress 2026 was officially launched at The Rose Hotel, Tralee, on Tuesday afternoon, 24 March, ahead of the event which will take place over the weekend of 24/26 April 2026.

The Congress will bring a full weekend of bridge to Tralee, with a programme designed to cater for a wide range of players. Events scheduled across the weekend include Gala Pairs, Congress Pairs, Intermediate and Novice competitions, Open Pairs, Teams events, and a charity pairs competition in aid of Meals on Wheels Kerry.

The official launch brought together local stakeholders, sponsors, and organisers to mark the beginning of the build-up to this year’s Congress. Attendees included representatives from Kerry County Council, The Rose Hotel, Meals on Wheels Kerry and main sponsor T1 Healthcare, alongside members of the Congress organising committee. The event is supported in part through the Kerry County Council Community Support Fund, reflecting the Council’s continued commitment to backing community-led initiatives and events that contribute to local activity and engagement.

Organisers stressed that the Congress combines a strong competitive programme with a welcoming social atmosphere, while also bringing visitors to Tralee for the weekend. With the event based at The Rose Hotel, the Congress continues to position Tralee as an attractive venue for bridge players from around Ireland and further afield. The event reflects strong local collaboration, with support from community partners, the hospitality sector and sponsors helping to deliver the Congress.
