Fresh from the triumph of our Teltscher Trophy team over the weekend, another Irish team takes on the world’s best in the Monthly Invitational Teams, starting this afternoon at 16:00 … and in an increasingly rare privilege these days, you can watch live on BBO!
The Irish team consists of Grainne Barton, John Carroll, Nick FitzGibbon, Tom Hanlon, Hugh McGann, Adam Mesbur, Mark Moran, and honorary Irishman Leslie Amoils, while their opponents include many of the world’s top players – the inimitable Zia Mahmood, multiple world champions in Jeff Meckstroth & Eric Rodwell, Alfredo Versace & Lorenzo Lauria, and Geir Helgemo & Tor Helness, two of the best young players in the world in Michal Klukowski and Zach Grossack (aged 24 and 23 respectively), and too many other notables to list.
