UPDATE: Hard luck to Team Moran, who, despite having held the lead part way through the match, ended up losing the final of the Spring Fours. Very well done to the winners, Team Schnelwar (Susan Schnelwar, Vincent Demuy, Zach Grossack, Adam Kaplan, and Joe Grue, so including four world champions), who went undefeated throughout the entire competition, and were very deserving winners.
UPDATE: Team Barton has now won their semi-final, and will contest the final against a very highly-rated US team, including four world champions. Best of luck to the Irish team!
Having lost their first match, which put them under a lot of pressure (as two losses means elimination), Team Moran (actually Team Barton on this occasion, as there was already a Team Moran amongst the entries) have battled their way to the semi-finals of the prestigious EBU Spring Foursomes, in Brighton, where they are the defending champions. We wish them (Mark Moran, John Carroll, Tom Hanlon, Conor Boland, Adam Mesbur, Nick FitzGibbon, and NPC Gráinne Barton), the very best of luck as they attempt to retain their title.
