This year’s Celtic Nations Simultaneous Pairs week will take place from 11-15 May, with a different set of boards every night. All the funds raised by this week of Sims go directly to Irish junior bridge, so it is the best of causes. Aside from the fundraising element, the consistent feedback is that our members enjoy these simultaneous pairs competitions, with the chance to see how they score across the entire nation (several nations in this particular event), and to learn from the expert commentaries provided. Preparatory information has been sent to all the clubs who have indicated that they will be participating, so if you are intending to play but haven’t received any instructions yet, please contact us. The charge is unchanged at €2.50 per player (so €10 per table).
You’ll find instructions on how to upload your results here – remember to put in the club name and the daily code for the tournament, which is on all the files your club will receive.
The results, once uploaded, can be found on the ECATS website, which is also where your members should go to check their rankings in the national standings once you have uploaded your results. We will be awarding the usual daily prizes, and masterpoints, again this season.
The daily commentaries will also be available on the ECATS site, and will also be uploaded here, once each nightly game has finished, and will also be sent to all the participating clubs for distribution. As in recent years, everything will be in digital form, with no printed booklets.
