The CBAI’s International Committee has decided on dates for the various trials for the 2024/25 season, and Preliminary Notices for all four trials are below. Please note that the dates of all the trials, apart from the Teltscher Trials, have been moved from their normal times due to the World Bridge Games in Argentina in October/November, to which the IBU will be sending teams. Some regular CBAI/IBU events will also have to be rescheduled to avoid clashing with the World Bridge Games.
The dates of the CBAI’s trials are:
- Trials Pre-Qualifier (for players who do not meet the regular trials entry criteria) 10/11 August, in the Templeogue Bridge Centre; closing date for entries is 12 July
- Camrose Trials 6/8 September in the Templeogue Bridge Centre; closing date for entries is 9 August
- Lady Milne Trials 27/29 September in the Galway Bridge Centre; closing date for entries is 30 August
- Teltscher Trials 30 January/2 February in the Templeogue Bridge Centre; closing date for entries is 2 January – as hosts of the Teltscher Trophy in 2025, Ireland will have two teams in this event, both of which will be selected from the trials
The IC apologises for the change of dates from what might have been expected for this season. Members will appreciate that the World Bridge Games represented circumstances beyond their control.
