The CBAI AGM was held on Saturday 3 July, mainly remotely over Zoom, although a few of the officers of the Association were able to congregate (at the appropriate social distance) in the Silver Springs Hotel in Cork.

The AGM saw the inauguration of our new President, Pat O’Mahony, representing the South Munster region, seen here receiving the chain of office from Barbara and Neil Burke. We are sure you will join us in wishing Pat every success in his term of office. Hopefully he will be able to attend some in-person events before too long. Our thanks also to Pat’s predecessor, Neil Burke, representing the Mid-Leinster region, who kindly offered to do a two-year stint as President when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020. Unfortunately, the majority of Neil’s two years were spent on Zoom and in virtual events, but he represented the Association very well and made an excellent contribution throughout. In hindsight, he was remarkably prescient in choosing Information Technology as a theme for his presidency!
