The NIBU hosted a very successful first weekend of the Camrose Trophy on 6-8 January in the La Mon Hotel. Well done to organiser Helen Hall and all her team, and to chief TD Fearghal O’Boyle.

The two Irish teams have left themselves a lot to do in the second weekend, as both teams lost to both first-placed England and second-placed Wales over the weekend. The standings are: 1 England 81.47 VPs; 2 Wales 6.87; 3 CBAI 58.06; 4 Ireland 48.70; 5 Scotland 25.86; 6 Northern Ireland 25.04. You’ll find all the results here.

And the Waterford Congress ran two nights of online pairs competitions in place of their normal congress. The winners were:

  • Friday Night Master/Intermediate A – Rosheen Glasheen & Neil Breheny Results
  • Friday Night Intermediate B/Novice – Anne Dunne & Eamon Kelly Results
  • Saturday Night Master/Intermediate A – Marian Davenport & Mary P Treacy Results
  • Saturday Night Intermediate B/Novice – Maura King & Ian Kingston Results
