Well done to the Irish team of Micheal O Briain, Padraig O Briain, Terry Walsh, Derek O’Gorman, BJ O’Brien, and Ranald Milne, under NPC Peter Goodman, who topped the standings after the first weekend of the Camrose Trophy, held virtually on RealBridge over the weekend of 8-10 January. Having won four of their five matches (being defeated only by our nearest neighbours Northern Ireland), Ireland will carry a small lead over England into the second weekend of the event, to be held in early March.

The CBAI hosted the first weekend series, albeit virtually, and our thanks go to national director Fearghal O’Boyle, whose preparation and diligence over the entire weekend saw our first online international event pass off without a hitch. The organisers were so impressed that we understand that he has been engaged for the second weekend too!

Full results of the first weekend are available here.
