Many congratulations to Team Moran (Grainne Barton, Conor Boland, John Carroll, Nick FitzGibbon, Tom Hanlon, Adam Mesbur, Mark Moran) who won their second very prestigious English tournament of the year, the Spring Foursomes in Bristol. The team lost only a single match over the long weekend in a field full of top-class international players, and had a comfortable win over the defending champion Allfrey Team in the final.
The other English major was the Lederer Trophy in February, in which Team Moran, with honorary Irishman Frederic Volcker playing in place of Conor Boland, defended the title they won the previous year. The Spring Fours represents another major notched up for this very successful team. Well done to all, and enjoy the celebrations!
