Both the EBL and the WBF are continuing their efforts in support of women’s bridge.

First up we have the next instalment of the EBL’s Online Training Program for Women, which will take place on Monday February 23 at 19:30 CET (so 6:30 p.m. in Ireland). The guest coach this time will be Jovana Maričić, a professional bridge player from Serbia. Attendance is free, but you need to book your spot with our EBL Women’s Co-Ordinator, Joan Kenny (email).

Then we have the 3rd WBF Online Women’s Teams Championship, to be held on the RealBridge platform from 27-29 March. This is a transnational event, so you can team up with players from other countries if you wish. There are some valuable prizes, with 1st prize being free entry to the Women’s Teams Championship (McConnell Cup) in the World Bridge Series in Poland is August/September 2026.

You’ll find full details here. The entry fee is €80 till 27 February, and €100 thereafter, and teams can consist of as many as 8 players. The closing date for entries is Monday 2 March.
