For the second year running and for only the third time in history, Ireland win the prestigious Lederer Trophy finishing top of in impressive field. Irelands SWAT team of Tom Hanlon, Tommy Garvey, John Carroll & Hugh McGann (L-R in photo) finished on a score of 273 just 7 points ahead of the International All stars. |

Won for the second time in History by Ireland. The winning team were Tom Hanlon, Hugh McGann, John Carroll & Tommy Garvey.
Champions Cup 2007
The 5th European Champions’ Cup was held at the Parioli Tennis Club, in Rome, Italy, 12-15 October 2006. The top ten contenders of the 48th European Team Championships 2006, held in Warsaw, Poland are invited to participate: England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Sweden. The format will be a round-robin qualifier, followed by semifinals, a final and playoffs.
The winners of the all Ireland Team's Championships 2005- The Egan, were asked to represent Ireland in this years Champions Cup after the success of the open Team in Poland. Mary Lindopp, & Peter Clifford, Anna Onishuk & Karel deRaeymaeker were joined by Ciara Burns & John Murchen in Irelands first representation in the event. Unfortunately they did not make it out of the qualifying Round Robin of 48 board matches: with Italy leading their group on 111 , The Lombard - Rotterdam in Second with 106 and England qualifying on 3rd place on 71
