Good news from the E.B.U. Summer Congress in Brighton.
The main event of the first weekend, the Swiss Pairs for the Harold Poster Cup, was won by Tom Hanlon & Hugh McGann.
In a field of 495 Pairs, there was Irish interest in 7 pairs in the top 120 and three more Irish pairs finished in the top half.
Aidan & Ena Cleary finished in 3rd place in the Senior Pairs in a field of 105 Pairs.
Team Ireland finish in 5th place in the second weekend's team competition.
